EXPERIENCED CNC SETTER/OPERATOR

The Role

A permanent position has arisen for a skilled CNC Setter/Operator. The ideal candidate should have at least 5+ years experience. Ability to work with minimal supervision to tight tolerances, and have a good eye for detail when finishing components. Experience of driven tooling lathes would be a distinct advantage but additional Hurco onsite training will be provided to the successful candidate.

The post will involve working on a modern Hurco CNC lathe with driven VDI tooling. primarily working with Titanium and stainless steel. The job will be working with a small team producing quality camera & light housing, also producing prototypes as required.

Main Responsibilities

• Set, program & run our new Hurco TMM10 lathe with driven tooling and ensure smooth operation.
• Provide QC inspection on production components
• Provide support for Hurco TM1 mill when required.
• Operator in line with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy at all times.
• Promote good house-keeping and ensure workspace is kept clean and tidy.
• Flexible working hours based on a 37.5 hour week.

The Candidate

Recognised Certificate in Mechanical Engineering & CNC Programming preferred along with a good knowledge of CNC machining methodology. An enthusiastic individual with a 'can-do' attitude. Knowledge of machining Titanium, Stainless steels. The right candidate will have a meticulous approach to all production and support activities.
