The is one of the most radiation tolerant cameras available on the world market. Because of its small diameter of 40.5 mm, the camera is perfectly suited for confined areas.
The camera capabilities are further extended by a number of new state-of-the-art the functions. A wide range of inter-changeable viewing heads and lenses for various inspection tasks are available.
The D-40 is also of a bi-unit design. To increase the radiation tolerance, a non-browning lens and minimal electronics are located inside the camera head, with the remaining electronic circuits built into the camera control unit, placed in a remote area. The D-40 lens withstands an irradiated dose of 200 MRads - with no degradation of optical performance.
The D-40 meets the highest quality requirements. All stages of the production cycle from component testing to factory acceptance tests are performed under tight quality control and are certified to ISO 9001:2000.
